I was really excited to try the latest Jan Marini product, Hyla3d lip complex as there are not many good quality lip products on the market.

The main ingredient in this lip product is Hyaluronic acid.  It is interesting to know that up to 50% of naturally produced Hyaluronic acid in our body is stored in our Skin. Unfortunately, as we age our body loses its ability to produce this amazing substance, this will result in dryness, loss of firmness, fine lines and wrinkles. In most people, these signs are more visible on the face and in particular around the eyes and lip area. That’s why in my opinion it is essential to take care of these two areas even more.

Jan Marini hyla3d lip complex claims to hydrates the lip area as it contains Antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol, Vitamin E and Peptides. Yes, retinol! I know what you are thinking right now! Is retinol safe to be used in the sun? After contacting Jan Marini, they have confirmed that the amount of retinol in this product is really low and it is absolutely safe to be used during the day. Although there is a low percentage of retinol in this product, it is still really effective to soften and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lips.

The texture of this lip product is not what I expect at all, unlike a lip gloss, the texture is not shiny and soft. It’s more like a lip balm with a thick creamy texture which is extremely easy to apply on the lip and surrounding area. What I really like about it is that it absorbs really fast and leaves both the lip and surrounding area more hydrated and plumper.

I really don’t have any visible fine lines or wrinkles around my lip however I think applying this lip complex instantly helps to enhance volume and firmness for improved definition and contour. I apply this product every day in the morning and apply my make up on top of it.
