How Do You Use Silicone Pads?

Silicone patches work very easily and are even suitable for sensitive skin types. The pads should be applied to completely dry, clean skin free from topical creams, sunscreen, and makeup. You don’t need to use other products on the treatment area as the pad is doing all the work to create smooth skin!

Remove the pad from the poly card, hold the skin taut, and apply. In the morning, gently remove from the skin and replace back onto the poly card. If redness, a rash, or irritation occurs after use then it means that the skin was not free from product, sweating, or due to the skin being wet. It is highly unlikely for someone to be allergic to medical grade silicone.

You can wear silicone pads for as little as an hour to see results - great for preparation before getting ready for a speical occasion - but for best results you should wear your silicone pad overnight for at least 8 hours.

How Do You Look After Silicone Pads?

The pads should be cleaned either after the first or second use (ideally with SilcSkin Cleanser for best results but something gentle like baby shampoo works too) and left to dry adhesive side up and then once dry, stick back onto the poly card included in the pack.

Pads should last around 30 uses (eye pads around 15-20 uses due to being much thinner) with good care. It is normal for the edges to lift slightly after several uses, as long as the main area of the pad is still sticking to the skin then it will still work to its full potential. The adhesiveness can be revived with a hairdryer or by using rubbing alcohol/witch hazel if you believe the pad has been contaminated with skincare products or by sweating.
