Welcome to the May edition of our Dermacare Direct monthly newsletter to update you on our new arrivals, top tips & offer
Did we not have a short burst of Spring sunshine at the end of April? Is that a sign that Spring time is finally here!!
And we all know what that means - now it is even more important to apply sunscreen every morning.
Remember that skin becomes loose, wrinkled, and leathery caused by years of unprotected exposure to the sun.
Our big news this month is….
As some of you may have noticed, the Skinmedica TNS products are no longer available from Dermacare Direct. Due to EU law, they have been withdrawn from general sale in the United Kingdom, so we are not allowed to sell this line of products any more. It’s a real shame, particularly as it is still available in the USA. But the good news is that over time, the TNS line will be replaced with the Biometa ingredient (derived from yeast) designed to stimulate your own Growth Factors, so we will see more Skinmedica Biometa products this year.
The MOST amazing skin lightening product is now available according to TraceyB at Skinbrands who is a big fan - it is called Lytera . Apparently the new Lytera System has produced the most amazing results in clinical trials and is now available from Dermacare Direct as a separate lightening product or for sale as a kit. The system was shown to be equivalent to a 7-step well known skin lightening regime. The Lytera Skin Brightening Complex showed significant improvements in facial discoloration and could be seen as early as four weeks with continued improvement over time.
I have kindly been given one to try by Skinbrands, so I will let you know my thoughts.
Skinmedica has brought out another product called the Uplifting Eye Serum.
A restorative blend of plant extracts, antioxidants and vitamins in a special oil-free formulation designed to gently smooth, hydrate and lift the sensitive skin around the eyes.
Visibly assists to reduce the appearance of puffiness, under eye circles and fine lines.
Benefits:
•Gently smoothes, hydrates, and lifts the sensitive skin around the eyes.
•Visibly diminishes the appearance of puffiness, dark circles and fine lines.
•Reduces dark circles.
Skinceuticals Mineral Radiance UV Defense SPF50
Mineral Radiance, a new SPF with a tint is now available. It has the same ingredients as Sheer Mineral but this is a tinted SPF!
It is set to be a best seller! Both myself and Linda have tried a sample and we both think it’s great. It rubs in really well and feels great.
Kelo-stretch is the latest addition to the Kelo-cote range and has been specifically designed to help treat existing stretch marks and prevent new stretch marks from appearing.
It works by helping to strengthen collagen and boost skins elasticity. This dual strengthening process helps to decrease the width of existing stretch marks thus improving their appearance.
Shea butter and sweet almond oil will help to smooth, moisturise and soften the skin whilst providing much needed nourishment.
In clinical trials, 75% of users agreed that Kelo-stretch helps improve the appearance of existing stretch marks.
Also new to the SilDerm range is SilDerm Scar in a spray. This clinically proven product will not only prevent but also help to repair scars caused by surgery and trauma.
The light, odour free spray is quick drying and ideal for home use to improve the appearance of old and new scars.
Containing silicone which is proven to flatten, soften and smooth scar tissue, SilDerm scar spray will also help relieve itching and redness that is often associated with scarring.
Tips - Vitamin A that delivers anti-ageing benefits.
Vitamin A is clinically proven to increase the synthesis of collagen.
Vitamin A can significantly boost elastin and fibrillin production at cellular levels, which are essential for a smooth and plump skin texture.
