NeoStrata Sheer Physical Protection SPF50 - My Product Review

neostrat-physical-image

Neostrata sunscreen offers broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection using physical filters titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
Also formulated with anti-oxidants (such as green tea and Vitamin E) to help preserve skin’s natural collagen and neutralise free radicals.

Suitable for all skin types - especially great for combination, oily, sensitive & rosacea skin.

A lightweight, translucent fluid which provides a sheer mattifying tint that adapts to suit all skin tones to even out discolouration and redness while providing a smooth base for make-up.

The sunscreen on the right is the Neostrata Physical and the sunscreen on the Left is the SkinCeuticals Mineral Radiance.

This is a very thin liquid which is smoothly and easily applied, and a little goes a long way. It doesn't feel sticky, doesn't smell and doesn't leave your skin shiny. It instantly sinks into the skin leaving your skin very smooth.
I would say it is lighter than the SkinCeuticals Mineral Radiance and it also contains more ingredients (e.g. the antioxidants) than the SkinCeuticals product.

However I felt that it didn't give me the necessary coverage. I like a sunscreen to give me a bit more coverage as most days I don't wear make-up.

Also, I don't like using a moisturiser underneath my sunscreen, so I felt that the Neostrata SPF wasn't hydrating enough for me to use it on its own. Although I think it is more hydrating than the SkinCeuticals Mineral radiance sunscreen.

What I did find was that it was great before applying my make-up and it almost acts like a primer...blending perfectly with my make-up.
