Digital Defence Exfoliating Treatment Mask

Rachel's review

Blue light travels at a different wavelength to UV rays. It penetrates the skin at a deeper level and easily passes through most sunscreens. Blue light waves need a separate, scientifically developed formulation to block them and keep them from ageing our skin. This is where Digital Defence comes in.

I was very excited to try this product as I love using a mask at home as a night time pamper and a bit of self care which we all definitely need!

As with the rest of the Digital Defence range, the Exfoliating Treatment Mask protects the skin against the damaging rays of HEV Blue Light but beyond that it is also a super luxurious mask to use. Organic & Vegan Society Approved too.

The formula is packed within a tube which I much prefer rather than a tub as it can begin to get messy. It has the same subtle, floral scent which the rest of the collection carries and I have grown to love it after getting used to using non-scented cosmetics for so long! The main benefit of the mask is, of course, to exfoliate, but it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which begin to work immediately upon touching the skin. A bonus that it also contains argan oil, Vitamin A & E to provide a deep nourishment while Lemon, Ginger & Sage help to stimulate and refresh the complexion.

I applied a fairly thick layer over my skin and left it for around 10 minutes - the gentle acid enzyme peel helps to encourage cell renewal during this time and then afterwards I manually exfoliated with my hands using the white bamboo and cranberry beads and removed with lukewarm water.

Immediately, my skin felt smoother, glowy, more even and any congestion that I had looked minimised and even more so the next day. It left my skin feeling almost airbrushed, as it did before when I reviewed the Digital Defence Day & Night Moisturising Protection Cream. It felt instantly brighter and no tightness or dehydration which can happen. I can't wait to use it again!
