Kate's Review

Blue light is known as the "silent ager" and although we are all aware of the dangers of UVA and UVB rays on your skin, as growing research confirms that blue light emitted from the sun and our digital devices also have the potential to damage your skin and contribute to premature ageing. The main source of the blue light we are exposed to is the sun however, a significant amount is caused by our screens and mobile phones.

With my work and lifestyle consisting of being in front of my laptop, phone and TV (like most people) I'm very aware that my skin is exposed to a lot of HEV - Blue Light so I love the fact that Digital Defences plant-based skincare incorporates DigiTect® to reduce the harmful effects and photo-ageing caused from day to day exposure.

I've had the opportunity to try all of the Digital Defence products, my particular favourites were the Hydrating Cleansing Milk, Serum, and the Dual Action Eye Cream

CleanserThe Digital Defence Hydrating Cleansing Milk is a creamy, milky consistency that feels lovely and moisturising when applying. It spreads nicely onto the skin and after rinsing the skin feels thoroughly cleansed as it's removed impurities, make-up and detoxifies the skin.

It contains jojoba oil and shea butter to lock in the moisture, rosemary, thyme flower waters, and lemon to revitalise whilst also giving it a refreshing scent. I noticed this scent seems to be very similar across all of the Digital Defence products.

I've been using it for the last few weeks, double cleansing morning and evening and I really like it as a cleanser. It creates the perfect base for the rest of my products and also removes my make-up well.

Dual Action Eye CreamDigital Defence Dual Action Eye Cream continues to harness the benefits of jojoba along with argan oils which naturally contain vitamins A and E. These nourishing oils enrich the delicate eye area and lock in moisture without being heavy. It is not only nutrient-rich but contains calming chamomile, calendula and mallow making it ideal for the delicate and often sensitive eye area.

The texture is just how I like my eye creams, light enough that it melts into the skin whilst still hydrating. The biggest difference I noticed, was how my eyes didn't feel so tight and tired and looked a lot brighter.

It claims to reduce the depth of lines and wrinkles, increase hydration, reduce skin sensitivity, improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of skin pigmentation. After using, I'd say it certainly does all this, it smoothes the eye area leaving it hydrated, calmed, and rejuvenated so I'd highly recommend it.

After incorporating Digital Defence into my regime I've been really pleased with how my skins felt since and love the fact I'm protecting against environmental damage and premature ageing.
