My Product Review - DermaNew Microdermabrasion System

Microdermabrasion has become the most popular and effective, non-surgical way to help reduce acne, scars, fine wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores, and requires no downtime.

Microdermabrasion treatments are a gentle and painless method of exfoliating the skin on the face or body, to remove dead skin cells, oils and other debris that clog pores and lead to dull complexions and blemished skin.

Microdermabrasion is often used as part of an overall skin care program because it enhances the effectiveness of other skin care products. This is because by exfoliating the top layer of skin, it allows the active ingredients in other skin care products to penetrate the middle dermal layer of skin where it can be more beneficial.

Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen production, helping your skin rejuvenate faster than normal.

DermaNew microdermabrasion

I have been using this tool for about 2 years and I now use the accelerated cream, but I did start off with the rejuvenation cream to begin with. You will need to use the cream that is appropriate for your particular skin type/condition.

- Facial Rejuvenation System is suitable for normal/sensitive skin types
- Acne/Oily System for acne/oily skin types
- Accelerated Formula Cream (in total body kit) is stronger than the rejuvenation cream, so it is more suitable for thicker skin (sun damaged, deeper lines, imperfections etc.), and not sensitive skin.

It is possible to mix and match the systems (buy one system first, and then additional creams).
You can always buy an Accelerated refill cream later and try alternating between treatments, using the Rejuvenation cream, then the Accelerated Formula Cream, and so on.

DERMANEW-TOOL (2)

What is great about the DermaNew system is that it’s a 2 in 1 device. Along with the resurfacing tool there is a microdermabrasion foam attachment and also a cleansing brush attachment. The Dermanew tool is so easy to use, and the in-built 2 minute timer is a bonus.

I really like this product both for exfoliating and improving the general appearance of my skin.

I use the brush attachment for daily cleansing along with my glycolic cleanser, and the foam attachment for my weekly microdermabrasion treatments (I also use my PMD Personal MicroDermabrasion once a week). I like to follow these treatments by applying my Copper Peptide moisturiser.

I love the way my skin feels after each treatment. It feels soft, clean & brighter looking.

It keeps the skin young looking by getting rid of dead skin cells and helps other products absorb into the skin better.

I would suggest using the DermaNew tool twice a week - I think more than that may cause irritation.
Microdermabrasion treatments are not for extremely sensitive skin types

I can’t comment on the acne/oily system because I haven’t tried it as I haven’t got acne/oily skin, but I do get very good feedback with regards to using it.

I think the DermaNew is a great at-home microdermabrasion system and it rates as one of the best.

And please remember to apply sunscreen daily to protect that nice new skin!
