Skinceuticals have launched a new product, an antioxidant in a gel. The Phloretin CF® now comes in a gel form, so you can choose between the Phloretin serum or gel. If you are sensitive to many serums then this may be for you. The active ingredient in Phloretin CF® Gel is made up of a synergistic antioxidant combination: 2% Phloretin, 10% L-Ascorbic Acid, and 0.5% Ferulic. This is powerful stuff, with not only Vitamin C at the heart, but other actives that help it to work better. Signs of ageing are prevented and lessened with use over time. Dark spots and sun damage are corrected also.



This month, Jan Marini launched its New Starter/Travel Systems. They contain all the 5 step products in half-size bottles. You can choose from normal/combination or dry to very dry kits. These kits are great for travel as they are airline friendly or if you want to try Jan Marini system for the first time.

Jan Marini has discontinued the bioglycolic acne gel 1 & 2. But don’t worry - try Bioclear! It contains 3 acids and is a great resurfacing product. This product is so good!!
Apparently, there are going to be some more products that will be discontinued, but I will keep you updated.


Just to remind you again that the new Skinmedica Biometa Essential Serum has replaced the Skinmedica TNS Essential Serum AND the TNS Recovery Complex. Remember it’s an all-in-one anti-ageing product. Yes, just one product to apply! You don't need a vitamin C & E product, a peptide serum, a day or night cream, a pigmentation product, or firming and tightening cream. This serum contains it all! Tips - Do You Really Need to Use Products from Only One Brand?



I've always mixed different brands together at the same time.

Sales pitch and misleading information has probably made you believe that you must use products from the same brand for it to be effective. You may have been told that adding products from different brands will make the other products you are using ineffective, or not work as well as they could. None of this is true. It is entirely fine to mix and match products from different brands, but sometimes doing so is necessary if you want to get the best possible results!

It is important to be aware that not all brands offer products for all skin types or concerns.

The critical determinant should be the formulae, and whether or not those would suit your skin type and your specific skin concern. More often than not, the product line you are using includes some good products, some badly formulated products, and some products that aren’t suited to your skin type. For example, a company may have a great moisturiser, but not so great cleansers. So, using products only from that line (both the good and bad products) will not guarantee the best possible results. You may also be concerned about the cost, so you may want to buy a cleanser from a cheaper brand and splurge out on a treatment product or a moisturiser from a more expensive brand.

As long as you are regularly using products that are well formulated and suitable for your skin type and concern, you should see positive results.

I prefer to use certain products in certain brands, as I do not believe that every product in a brand or line will work as well as the other. So, I like to take the best of every line!

For example, I’d say that SkinCeuticals’ main area of expertise is in wrinkle and pigmentation issues, so these products would suit people who want to prevent or treat the signs of ageing with the latest, most advanced ingredient combinations.
