Review:

Do you make time for face masks whilst you're at home? I definitely didn't previously but after trying PCA Skin Hydrating Mask, it's been a complete game changer and I definitely will. Here's why...

Honestly, I never used to be a face mask person. I found them a bit tedious but also believed that I could and did get all the results that I needed from my day-to-day skincare routine, which is partly true however, masks compliment your already-great-routine and act as a *booster* which is exactly what I've come to realise.

PCA Skin Hydrating Mask claims to instantly soothe, offer deep hydration, and soften the skin with oat milk, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid. It's great for everyone as almost all skin types are dehydrated, even if you don't realise it. Perhaps your skin looks dull, or feels tight after cleansing (or, all the time), or you see fine dehydration lines on your forehead... these are classic dehydration signs.

The mask came at great timing too as during this time I somehow managed to damage my skin barrier slightly (it can happen to the best of us!) and the product promises to strengthen the skin barrier and reduce irritation. Which it did 100%.

I used it in various ways - a quick 10 minute application (which before makeup made applying my complexion products a dream), leaving it on for an hour or two in the evening, and even sleeping in it (but, if you want to do this, there is now the PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Mask instead!) - all scenarios worked well but my favourite was to leave on for a few hours whilst doing other things round the house.

It's a white, creamy texture with minimal scent. It applied onto my skin really easily. I tend to use it weekly and with the first few applications, I found that after a little while the product had completely disappeared so my skin must have been extremely parched and soaked all the moisture up! Now, this doesn't happen as much which tells me that my skin is not so dehydrated any more.

Overall, I LOVE this mask and have already ran out and repurchased it. I love that you can apply it and still get on with other things or you can use it as a form of self care and an excuse to stop for at least a couple of minutes! It's now a staple in my routine and something I try to use on a weekly basis or as and when I need it.
