Review

I started using this moisturiser when I continued to experience regular breakouts along my chin and jaw line. I was unsure at first as didn’t want the salicylic acid to be too strong for me skin with regular use. From the description this product is suitable for sensitive skin so I was confident that it wouldn’t disrupt my skin barrier.

I started using it every other evening to allow my skin to acclimatize to it to be on the safe side. I used after cleansing my skin and using a hyaluronic acid serum. The moisturiser is a soft consistency and it not too heavy. There is no strong scent which I was happy with. It glided onto my skin perfectly and did not irritate at all. I found that on certain areas it did have a minor stinging sensation on vulnerable skin but that subsided very quickly.

With regular use I found that my blemish and post-blemish marks calmed down quicker than they do normally, this is due to the aloe vera gel base in the moisturiser to reduce the inflammation. I did not feel that the cream was greasy on my skin at all and it absorbed perfectly. I found that my blemishes healed faster and my overall skin over my chin and jaw line is much healthier.

I liked the fact that this product is oil-free and fragrance free, vegan and gluten free. So is absolutely suitable for most individuals with combination, oily and ageing skin. I would recommend using the Blemish Control moisturiser if you are looking for good hydration but have underlying blemishes, excess oil or acne. This moisturiser is a pro healer so beneficial for wound repair and reducing inflammation. It will be a staple in my skincare routine to help manage my breakouts.
