Medik8 White Balance Click - My Product Review

White Balance Click provides an effective solution against all types of pigmentation: dark spots, age spots, freckles, blotchiness, sun damage, uneven skin tone and melasma.

This highly potent depigmenting serum has been shown to dramatically improve the overall skin tone and gives a luminous complexion. It also helps to prevent the appearance of future dark spots. The skin will look visibly brighter and more radiant.

I like the design of the bottle which guarantees stability of the potent form of Kojic Acid. The Kojic Acid is stored in the top part of the lid and is released by the click mechanism. By clicking on the top on the 10ml bottle, the Kojic Acid (a white powder) is released into the solution. To further minimise its degradation, there are two 10ml bottles so that you only click and pop open the second when the first is finished.
You cannot get a fresher Kojic Acid based product!

As with any pigment lightening product, results don’t appear overnight and in most cases anywhere from 3 months to a year is the norm.

Along with any pigmentation product, a sun protection product is the most important thing to use.

In most cases it is not just the Kojic Acid but a combination of ingredients which will help - like vitamin C, exfoliating ingredients (AHA’s - alpha-hydroxy acid) and also retinol.

Medik8 White Balance Click Intense Brightening Serum is a very light, colourless gel/serum which spreads easily, and has the indulgent smell of Ylang Ylang.

I would imagine it is good to use with a derma roller with it being a serum, so you would be able to roller it in to the skin quite well.

I have some melasma on my forehead from this summer (yes I did wear sunscreen!)on which I been using White Balance Click for the past 3 months and I have noticed it has faded in that short time.

It didn’t irritate my skin at all and I used it twice a day as directed. Each bottle lasted me 6 weeks.

I do think that when treating pigmentation, it takes time and a combination of sun screen, antioxidant, pigment lightening product and maybe a retinol with stubborn pigmentation.

Dermaceutic Yellow Cream is another popular pigment lightening product, but it is very potent.

In conclusion, I think if you have sensitive skin, Medik8 is probably the one to try as it is great for all skin types. Also because it is a serum and spreads easily, it’s great for applying all over the face like on acne scarring. Another plus is that it lasts far longer than most other pigment lightening products if used sparingly.
I do feel if you have struggled in the past with pigment lightening products which have had no effect, then Medik8 White Balance Click is worth trying, but remember - please be patient!
