Eminence Organic Calm Skin Arnica Masque

Kate's Review:

It's that time of year when I enjoy nothing more than a nice bubble bath and a bit of a pamper as the darker, colder nights are drawing in! The change in weather plays havoc on my Rosacea prone skin and as the heating comes on I have to do everything I can to prevent my skin becoming even more sensitised and dry. I always naturally adapt my skincare routine to opt to more moisturising products this time of year, but I find masks are such a great way to target these new concerns and compliment my routine.

Eminence Organic skincare offer plant-based organic skin care products that are developed with natural energy and sustainable practices. With each formula they only use the best organic ingredients to address skin concerns ranging from premature ageing to acne and sun damaged skin. Although the products are organic, I am drawn to the fact they still use  natural alternatives to the cosmeceutical ingredients that I'm familiar with.

My first impression was how delicious the mask smelt and looked adding to the calming experience. I like the fact the mask comes with a small spatula with a scoop to guide you to the quantity required, but also making it more hygienic. The mask easily spreads thinly onto the skin and you can see that it contains small fragments of botanical active ingredients.   I find it interesting though that since the ingredients are natural, organic and Biodynamic® they may have slight variations from harvest to harvest, so the "bits" and colour may vary. The mask does dry quite quickly and this is because Eminence either don't use or only use a very small amount of water in there products, which I think is fantastic! So its just a good idea to add a little bit of water in your hands and massage in to emulsify the mask either before applying or whilst its on. Eminence also advise that you even use tea or juice instead of water if you wanted to be a little more adventurous!

Calm Skin Arnica Masque is designed to calm, soothe and soften skin and that's exactly what it does! It's blend of ingredients really focus on soothing. Arnica is one of the star ingredients which is key to to helping repair capillary walls, calm down the skin whilst also having anti-ageing properties.  It then contains Eminence’s signature Biocomplex of vitamins: A, C, E and co enzyme Q10 which boosts skin functions and fends off free radicals.

The result is my skin has been feeling lovely and soft after every use. The mask itself feels very soothing on the skin, but I've discovered it's so much nicer if its been in the fridge prior to make it even more cooling. I've noticed that a small amount really goes a long way and its certainly giving long lasting calming effects. It's such a pleasure to use, so if you're in need of a bit of pampering its a lovely one to go for!
