Review:

My skin is definitely changing with age! I used to be very blemish prone and my combination skin type needed a lot of salicylic acid and LOVED DermaTx Clarify Salicylic Cleanser in order to keep it clear but now my breakouts are very minimal (touch wood!) and my skin tends to be more on the "normal" side and needs more moisture if anything. I've recently discovered that my skin LOVES and responds extremely well to glycolic acid. So, enter... DermaTx Brighten Glycolic Cleanser!

I cannot tell you just HOW much this product changed my skin in just one application!

If you don't know about glycolic acid; it's a very popular exfoliating acid (also referred to as an AHA or alpha hydroxy acid) which suits the majority of skin types. However, it's most ideal for dull, ageing skin, and those with pigmentation. If you have very sensitive skin then you would be better off with DermaTx Rejuvenate Lactic Cleanser. Glycolic acid is naturally derived from sugar cane and is made up of lots of small molecules which can pass through the skin barrier easily meaning results can be seen very quickly. Think of the small molecules as tiny little PAC-MAN... When you leave the cleanser on your skin for those few minutes, the tiny little PAC-MAN eat away and dissolve any dead skin cells to then reveal fresh, radiant, and brand new skin!

DermaTx Brighten Glycolic Acid Cleanser contains 4% glycolic acid as a key ingredient and antioxidants vitamin C & vitamin E too in order to brighten and soften the skin. It's a great beginner product for those new to exfoliating and AHA's but equally, it's a brilliant maintenance product for experienced skincare users to have alongside their already established routine.

It's a runny, gel like texture and not much scent to it. I felt a very slight tingle but this subsided after a few uses. It can be used daily, if you like, but I tend to use it 1-2 times a week and find that that's enough for my skin. Also, it's always best to leave any treatment products such as an exfoliating cleanser on the skin for a couple of minutes in order to allow it some time to work to its full potential.

I couldn't believe the difference after just one application... My skin had an instant glow to it and looked radiant. I don't suffer from pigmentation personally but my skin definitely looked a lot more even where there may have been dullness before. This results only got better with every use!

If you're looking to introduce a glycolic acid product into your routine, try this. Just don't forget your sunscreen too!
