Colorescience All Calm Clinical Redness Corrector SPF50 - Product Review

Colorscience All Calm SPF50 provides long-term relief for those with sensitive, redness-prone skin. Its proprietary formula instantly neutralizes the appearance of redness, helps soothe and calm sensitive skin, and provides SPF 50 protection while its patent-pending BioSolaceā„¢ complex helps provide ongoing relief from sensitivity and the appearance of redness.

Key Ingredients:

Niacinamide also known as vitamin B3, this ingredient is well-known for helping soothe skin, aid the skin barrier, reduce the appearance of redness/blotchiness, balance sebum production and improve the appearance of skin imperfections

SymReliefĀ® A powerful combination of ginger extract and (nature-identical) bisabolol helps shield skinā€™s natural defences from daily aggressions and cools and soothes sensitive skin

Vital ETā„¢ This bio-available form of vitamin E provides antioxidant support while helping to soothe redness related to environmental and mechanical factors; shown to help calm skin both prior to and following UV exposure

MAXnolia Based on Magnolia bark extract, this ingredient helps reduce the appearance of skin redness and hydrates for visibly firmer skin

CM-Glucan Forte A derivative of bakerā€™s yeast Ɵ-glucan, this ingredient helps calm sensitive and red skin while helping to reduce dryness and enhance the skin barrier

Native Essenceā„¢ A marine plant extract from sea fennel with unique survival capabilities that helps restore water balance and improve the appearance of skin radiance and smoothness

I was keen to try the ColoreScience All Calm SPF50 as all this heat has played havoc with my sensitive, rosacea prone skin. I've also been suffering with some breakouts during this lockdown that's left me looking blotchy, so this review came at a perfect time for me.

My initial thought when pumping it out was that its going to be the wrong colour since it has a green undertone, however once applied it blended in nicely. It immediately neutralises any redness with its colour correct, but it also acts as a lovely moisturising sunscreen. There is just the one colour, which suited my light-medium, neutral skin tone perfectly. I feel it would suit anyone with a similar colour, with either cool or neutral undertones. For darker complexions or more olive/ yellow undertones I'd imagine it would leave an ashy effect and could make you look a little washed out though, so would suggest only applying it the the areas required (such as blemishes/ cheeks).

My favourite part is the texture as its a whipped mousse consistency, just like ColoreScience's Tint Du Soleil Whipped Foundation's just a little thicker. A small amount goes a long way and it gives a rich creamy, smooth finish helping to mattify without drying the skin. The green undertone just helps to fade out any redness and I've been using this like a foundation to even out my complexion.

I like to keep my regime simple so its great that its both skincare and make-up with protection making it a wonderful multi-tasker. It does a fantastic job of keeping my skin looking clear and the BioSolaceā„¢ complex helps provide ongoing relief from sensitivity and the appearance of redness. I'll certainly be advising it to anyone with sensitive, rosacea & acne skins as its an ideal option for when your skin just needs calming.
Also I've had customers ask me if its worth the price, well in my eyes yes. Not only does a small amount go a long way but its essentially giving you the benefits of four products in one ā€“ including redness neutralising, lightweight mineral sun protection, coverage / makeup primer and a colour corrector so you're actually getting a lot out of it.
