iS CLINICAL Copper Firming Mist - Product Review

is clinical firming mist

When you first see this product, you may be thinking it's "just a mist" however... that's where you're wrong. This product is LOADED with skin benefits as well as hydrating the complexion with only a couple of spritz. Use it underneath your serums and it will supercharge them to work harder to their full potential.

Copper (the word you probably just skim straight past when you read the product name), an ingredient that is normally associated with money, is actually a highly effective anti-ageing antioxidant that rivals vitamin C with its many benefits. Just a handful of its properties:
  • Regulates sebum production
  • Aids in boosting the production of collagen and elastin
  • Decreases redness and acts as an anti-inflammatory
  • Conditions the skin with hydration and nourishment
Now you understand, it is way more than "just a mist"!

I find that mists are a great way to get extra moisture into the skin without having to layer too many products onto the skin (as my routine is already large enough!). I tend to incorporate a mist morning and evening prior to my hyaluronic acid serum as water-binding ingredients - such as hyaluronic acid - tend to penetrate the epidermis better when they are applied to damp skin. Mists also work well for me throughout the day, with or without makeup, if my skin looks dull and needs a little pick-me-up.

I really enjoyed using iS CLINICAL Copper Firming Mist. It hydrated and calmed my skin, had an anti-inflammatory effect, and my skin looked nicer overall. The physical 'mist' did take a little while to get used to as it's more powerful than I am used to! However, after a while, it became normal and as long as I held it the correct length away from my face (around 30cm) it was fine and if anything, it meant I was able to get more product onto my skin. If you do prefer a really gentle misting, I really recommend Eminence Organic Toniques

After around a week's use, I did notice a reduction in redness on my cheeks which I was really happy with... I already use a separate vitamin C directly on my skin so this mist was just a great addition to reinforce these antioxidant effects.

There was no obvious smell for me. There was a slight scent but I believe this is just the naturally derived, botanical ingredients that iS CLINICAL always sources for their products. The packaging is great as it's in a tinted, but slightly see-through, blue bottle so you can see how much you have left and aren't surprised when it just stops misting one day. If you didn't know, fun fact, this type of packaging is purposely chosen as the blue colouring protects the formula from being affected by UV lights.

If you aren't using a mist right now, try adding one and see if you notice a difference after a few weeks!
