iS CLINICAL Active Peel System Review

iS CLINICAL Active Peel System

Rachel's Product Review:

I'm fairly new to at-home peel systems but, from the ones I have tried and tested, I do love what they do for my skin each time... They have been cleverly created to give you dramatic results instantly but without the inconvenient downtime and side effects i.e redness, peeling, and irritation.

They have risen in popularity due to recent lockdowns and clinic closures as brands realised that clients still desperately wanted to somehow continue maintaining their clinic results themselves easily at home.

Right from my first use of iS CLINICAL Active Peel System, it is by far my favourite one yet!

The claims are simple: the gentle but powerful two-step peel will help towards resurfacing the skin's surface but also give you results such as skin rejuvenation, more even skin tone & texture, and supporting the skin's collagen production. The botanical mix of different types of exfoliators including a source of Salicylic Acid, Fruit Acid Extracts, and Witch Hazel makes it perfect for everyone, no matter your skin issue.

My application began with 'Step 1' which consists of a completely bio-degradable, bamboo pad soaked in the exfoliating formula. I applied this all over my face and neck but be warned (it does note this on the packaging and it is perfectly normal) that your skin will start to produce an extremely intense cool, tingling sensation!! It is potent but totally bearable! I put a timer on my phone for 3 minutes as directed and waited for the time to pass... After the 3 minutes, do not rinse off Step 1, instead open and apply 'Step 2' over the top which is also a bamboo pad submerged fully of hydrating, soothing, and repairing properties to neutralise the effects of the peel solution. Leave this on too. Afterward, the difference in my skin was incredible- it looked like glass! I didn't apply anything else straight after the treatment however, a few hours later before going to bed, I did apply a small amount of lightweight moisturiser over the top.

The pads are quite large so as long as you store them properly and hygienically then you could definitely cut them in half to get double the uses. iS CLINICAL recommends that you can use the system as frequently as every other day but honestly, I find that I can go a week or two between uses so the box of 15 treatments is sure to last quite a while. Really great value for money.

And for that reason, this is why I would rank these top of the at-home peels that I have tried! Perfect all year round and so simple to use. Just make sure that you remember to wear your SPF 50 daily!
