A Salicylic Acid Night Cream For Acne Prone Skin

Actibiome is an overnight treatment that offers highly-concentrated active ingredients for acne-prone skin whilst you sleep. This night cream helps fight harmful bacteria to reduce excess sebum and support the bacterial diversity of the skin microbiota. The combination of powerful fruit acids works overnight to boost the skin’s natural regeneration power and improve the appearance of skin imperfections. It also offers a comedolytic and keratolytic action to exfoliate, unclog pores and refine skin texture. My Review

I usually opt for more nourishing night creams, this is to go alongside the actives and exfoliants I usually use beforehand in my routine.

When I went to try the Dermaceutic Actibiome Acne-prone skin night cream, I used it in conjunction with a gentle routine so as not to disrupt my skin barrier as this is packed with effective and high grade salicylic and glycolic acids. The cream itself is super lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. I used all over, except around the eye contour. I had a slight tingling sensation upon application but this subsided very quickly and this is to be expected. I do have super sensitive skin so I wasn’t surprised at the sensation at all. My problem areas tend to be around my jaw, chin and neck where I experience congestion and hormonal breakouts so I was anticipating that this would help.

I used the cream 3-4 times per week for 2 months and I have seen remarkable differences in my breakouts. My usual hormonal spots are much less obvious around my jaw. Not only this, I have found that my pores are less obvious around the nose area and top of my cheeks. When I experience breakouts, this usually comes with redness and I haven’t had any redness on my skin at all. The cream, along with strong actives, also has anti-inflammatory ingredients, which has drastically reduced redness for me.

I will definitely continue to use the Actibiome night cream, with a view to reduce use to 2-3 times weekly to maintain the benefits I have gained since using it. It will certainly be a staple in my skincare cabinet, especially for when my skin is feeling congested and needs a little extra help with exfoliation and managing sebum production. Overall, I feel it has improved my skin health – which is always the goal! A must-have if excess oil and breakouts are a problem for you – I found this cream to be so effective for me, even with sensitive skin.

I consistently applied an SPF factor 50 every day whilst using this product to protect my skin from UV rays. This is a highly active and scientifically sound exfoliating cream, so is vital to wear SPF to protect your fresh, healthy skin.
