Coola Makeup Setting Spray SPF30 Review

Do you reapply your SPF during the day? Most people don't... However, the active ingredient in sunscreen that gives us the protection is only fully effective on the skin for around 2 hours making your application first thing in the morning no good by lunchtime. So, you should be reapplying every 90-120 minutes when in direct sunlight to keep protected! That's fine but then comes the next issue... how do you reapply sunscreen when you're wearing makeup? Or you're on the go all day? On in areas like your scalp or hair line? So, in comes... COOLA Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30

There are many SPF powders on the market now that people usually know them better and opt for but personally, and I have nothing against powders, I just much prefer misting a spray onto my face throughout the day! Not only is it a lot easier to apply but the cooling, hydrating spritz of a facial mist feels great during the warmer months. Not only that, I also love that this particular product sets your makeup back into place too so I didn't need to bother with carrying a powder around with me. It really did mattify my skin nicely on hot days when I tend to get a little oily in the T-Zone. Plus, it contains Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Plant Stem Cells to aid with hydration and as an anti-inflammatory.

So, first impressions, I loved the packaging. It was sleek and fitted into my bag easily. I'm funny with mists and anything with a spray too 'powerful' I find off-putting and won't reach for as much as I should do but this had a lovely soft mist that distributed over the complexion nicely and absorbed almost instantly. It states that it has a natural green tea scent which I picked up slightly but not hugely - but it also wasn't overpowering either which I liked!

Ensure that you close your eyes prior to misting and hold the bottle around 30cm away from your skin otherwise you will end up with product in your eyes (I made that mistake - I wouldn't recommend it!).

Then, of course the main use of the product is to protect you from damaging UVA & UVB rays therefore, I put it to the test on several occasions when I knew that I was going to be outdoors for the majority of the day to see if it really worked and lived up the expectations. I misted every 2 hours as recommended and ensured that I sprayed over my whole face a couple of times to ensure no areas were accidentally missed. I didn't burn once! It was great to use in my hair parting and as a quick top up on areas like my chest and shoulders too.

Sunscreen reapplication is a non-negotiable, it's just a case of finding which one you go for. For me, COOLA Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30 keeps your makeup looking as good as new AND protects you from the sun? I'm sold!! I loved it and will definitely keep on using.
