My main concern was always pigmentation. I grew up in a hot country without SPF education and all that sun damage started to show up after I moved away.

 

In order to treat & hide it at the same time I focused on pigment lightening products and full coverage make-up. My Review
The Blemish + Age Cleanser combines potent cleansing agents with lipo hydroxyl acid, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. This combination of acids will gently exfoliate the skin, decongest and deeply remove make-up and excess sebum.

 

I only use a small amount twice a day. Emulsified with water, the gel foams up and it gently goes a long way.

 

With a nice menthol scent to it, the cleanser keeps my skin squeaky clean and fresh without any irritations or dryness.

 

I do wear make-up daily, so I always remove my make-up firs then, I double cleanse with my treatment cleanser. I do leave it for two minutes on my skin, it does a better job, and leaves my skin with slightly cooling sensation.

My Review

 

This oil-free serum focuses on treating imperfections, fine lines & wrinkles. This amazing  acid blend combines 2% dioic acid with an optimal alpha- and beta-hydroxy acid formulation, designed to prevent the formation of blemishes, accelerate exfoliation, decongest clogged pores, minimise hyperpigmentation.

 

So it looks like I have been looking for a product to treat my blemishes prior to my pigmentation, and I’ve got a serum that will address them both.

 

I apply this serum on dry skin, first thing after cleansing, twice a day.  It has very light watery consistency and it absorbs immediately into the skin.

 

You can feel a bit of alcohol scent in it, becomes less noticeable as you go along.

 

 I do feel slightly tingly for few seconds, this is due to active ingredients this product is loaded with.

 

Glycolic, Salicylic, Diodic & Citric Acids will make my leave on exfoliation, so I never miss my Vitamin C and SPF in the morning.

I do layer up few products at night after the Blemish + Age Defence Serum.

My acne got worse for about 3 weeks since I started using these two products, but it improved a lot afterwards. It has been more than a month now and I can only see good changes.

 

My skin is breathing again, it is glowing, I get less breakouts and my pigmentation is improving.

These products already helped me a lot and I know there is a long way until I get to my desired skin, but it gives me motivation to try even more products from SkinCeuticals.
