How to Detox Your Skin & Body This January

Detox this january

Yes I am afraid we are all guilty of it - overindulging at Christmas - whether it's food, alcohol or both!

Here are my simple and easy tips for a January detox resolution, focusing on cleansing inside and out.

Drink more water

The more water you drink the more hydrated you stay, and the fewer wrinkles and fine lines you'll see.

Drinking water helps your skin to maintain moisture which improves elasticity in your skin, leaving it looking healthy & glowing.

Cut down on caffeine & booze

hydration

The general advice is not to quit coffee or alcohol completely, just to reduce the amount of consumption. Everything in moderation I always say.

Caffeine & alcohol can cause dehydration ao cutting down will leave your skin more hydrated and make you feel healthier.

Detox with a charcoal mask

Charcoal masks work like a magnet to draw out pore-clogging dirt, oil, and daily impurities while cleansing away age-accelerating pollutants for a flawlessly fresh, smoother-looking, and clarified complexion.

Get plenty of beauty sleep

sleep

During sleep, your skin's blood flow increases and rebuilds its collagen and repairs damage from UV exposure, thereby

reducing wrinkles and age spots.

Eat your way to fabulous skin

antioxidants

Eating a healthy diet packed with fruit and vegetables (antioxidants) will increase your energy and improve your complexion.

Exercise for glowing skin

exercise

You don't need to join the gym, but try introducing more activities in your everyday life. Take the stairs instead of the lift, walk or cycle to work.

 Give skin supplements a try

collagen shots

An anti-aging drinkable liquid collagen supplement is just what the ski doctor ordered.

Collagen shots by Rejuvenated are one of our favourites, working from the inside out to hydrate and plump skin for fewer lines and wrinkles.

Let your skin breathe

 Oxygenetix

I am sure plenty of make-up has been caked on over the festive season - now it's time to go 'natural'.

Oxygeneting foundation is scientifically formulated with ceravitae to produce oxygen which helps your skin to breathe.

Or swap your existing make-up to mineral-based make-up products, which are far better for your skin because they are made of natural minerals

After taking these steps, I can guarantee you will feel an overall sense of wellness, sleep better, and of course obtain healthier skin.
