SkinCeuticals H A Intensifier - product Review

I was really excited about the opportunity to try out the SkinCeuticals HA  Intensifier

ha

Before I share my thoughts about this product, I need to explain what you all have been asking - what is the difference between HA & B5?

B5 is a hydrating serum suitable for everyone & every age. Whether you have oily, acne-prone skin and cannot cope with applying a creamy moisturiser so use it as your moisturiser; or you have dry skin and you apply it underneath your moisturiser to give you more hydration; or you use it as and when you need that burst of hydration. Basically, the B5 works on the skin surface helping with hydration.

HA does give you hydration, but also offers anti-ageing (plumping) and works on preserving and gradually increasing the amount of Hyaluronic Acid within the lower layers of the skin (up to 30% in just 12 weeks!)

About:

Formulated with a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Proxylane™ and botanical extracts of purple rice and liquorice root, HA Intensifier is a corrective serum clinically proven to restore plumpness, elasticity and firmness in the skin by helping to support the skin’s Hyaluronic Acid levels. This new serum effectively delivers surface hydration to the skin, whilst improving the appearance of the crow’s feet area, nasolabial folds and marionette lines for a more refined complexion.

My view............

The B5 is a lightweight serum, but the HA is thicker & purple in colour!!

Yet it is still quite lightweight, sinks in well and doesn't have that after a sticky feeling.

My other products go on fine straight away.

It doesn't really have a noticeable smell.

My conclusion is that I absolutely love the HA!

I was a serious Hydrating B5 fan, but now I am definitely a converted HA fan.

I haven't been using it for 12 weeks yet, so I have not seen a huge difference in fine lines, but I have found my skin feels and looks more hydrated and smoother than it did when I was using Hydrating B5.

I think this product is ideal for anyone over 30 because of your own naturally decreasing HA levels.

The only negative thing is that it is difficult to get the product out of the dropper. Maybe because the serum is a bit on the thicker side compared to the other SkinCeuticals serums.
