Jan Marini Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser - Product Review

jan marini bioglycolic acid

Bioglycolic Face Cleanser by Jan Marini

This is a gentle cleanser that contains glycolic acid for all skin types. The active ingredients encourage a soft, smoother and more refined skin texture. This formula is non-irritating, soap-free, and rinses off completely without the need for an astringent or post-cleansing toner. It also contains sorbitol, a natural humectant derived from berries, which leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

Glycolic acid increases the turnover of skin cells by dissolving the protein bonds between cells, thus enabling the dead skin to peel off and reveal fresh, healthy skin with a translucent glow and a more even texture. Glycolic acid is also proven to brighten the skin surface, shrink pores and prevent breakouts.

Glycolic acid is a key ingredient in many skincare products today for a very good reason. It works! It works to improve your skin no matter what age you are. For young people, it helps to clear acne and skin blemishes and for aging skin, it helps smooth out lines and wrinkles and increase collagen production. The beauty of this AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) is that it works equally well for dry skin as well as oily skin.

I have been using this cleanser for 3 years and I love it and I wouldn’t be without it! My skin without a doubt feels ultra clean and I adore how smooth, soft and brighter my skin feels and looks after use.
I really notice a difference if I forget to use the product for a couple of days. It’s a great gentle exfoliating cleanser that unclogs my pores and gives my skin a real glow.
It can be used once or twice a day. I use it once a day with my sonic cleansing brush.
It may seem weird, but it is applied to DRY skin, massaged in, then left to work for 2 - 5 minutes before rinsing it off. It "tingles", so be aware of that. It seemed "itchy" at first, but now I'm used to it. When the "tingling/itchy" sensation dissipates, that's when I wash it off.

You may think it is a bit pricey for a cleanser, but a very little bit goes a long way (just one pump needed), so it will last you months & months!
I would recommend this product to anyone. You have got to try it!

Please note:
When using AHA’s (glycolic acid) it is important to use a high sunscreen daily due to sun sensitivity. Do not use as an eye make-up remover.
