My Review

After having a long break from exfoliation due to repeated eczema flare-ups and sensitivity on my skin I decided to try the PHA body lotion from Neostrata. I was very anxious that it would cause a flare-up or reaction so I started with a small area of healthy skin. I used it initially on my lower legs and felt it went on nicely. The fragrance was minimal which I liked as my skin doesn’t usually like strong perfumed creams and lotions. I used the lotion for a week and noticed a huge difference in the texture of my skin on my legs. It was smoother and much more hydrated.

Following this I started to use it on my shoulders and the back of my arms where I usually get dry, flakey skin and irritation. I had an initial tingling sensation upon first application but that subsided quite quickly and the lotion absorbed instantly leaving no sticky or tacky feeling afterwards or for the rest of the day. My shoulders and arms have not been this smooth for months due to my eczema; this lotion has changed my skin totally in these areas of usual eczema.

I started to use it 3 times per week to keep on top of the exfoliation and have found real benefits to doing this. I use it after showering in the evening and my skin feels wonderful in the morning after using it. I would not recommend using this cream if you have an extra sensitive area or a current flare-up as this would be detrimental. But when your skin is in good condition this is a fantastic lotion to keep on top of dead skin cell build-up and rough texture. I will 100% be buying this and keeping it in my usual skincare regime.
