I was really excited to try the Medik8 Advanced Day Total Protect SPF30 as finding a sunscreen that you like is such a hard thing to find, especially when you are blemish prone like myself. I think this is a common issue amongst us all which is why a lot of people miss it out of their skincare routine, however it is really important to wear a minimum of SPF30 every single day! My skin is a combination type so I was keen to see how my skin looked at the end of the day and also how it wore under make up.

First impressions, I loved that it was in a pump packaging making it hygienic and I can control how much I am using. I initially thought the texture was quite thick, making me worry about excess shine, but once I applied it onto my skin it absorbed almost immediately. No white cast. It left a lovely, natural glow on my skin. I also felt that it prepped my skin nicely before make up so that I didn't need to use a primer making it a brilliant 2 in 1 product for me! I used around 2 to 3 pumps to make sure I had used enough to get adequate sun protection. The Hyaluronic Acid in it made my skin look fresh and plump straight away.


  At the end of the day, my skin looked almost the same as when I had first applied my skincare and make up in the morning. I had a slight amount of excess shine in my T-Zone but this is normal for me and my skin type. My make up had worn really well over the top of it. I always make sure I double cleanse my skin in the evening on the days that I have worn SPF and/or make up to make sure it is thoroughly removed properly.

  I have been using the Medik8 Advanced Day Total Protect SPF30 for almost a month now and I have suffered from no breakouts because of it and I also still have a lot left to use so I feel that it will last me a long time. In addition to this, the product also has added anti pollution, antioxidant, blue light, anti ageing and free radical protection, therefore I feel like this 1 product provides me with a huge amount of extra benefits as well as being a brilliant daily sunscreen. This will definitely be a staple item in my every day morning routine from now on.
