FAQ's - What can I do to help my Problem dry Skin this Winter?

images

Yes I am afraid it happens to many of us because of the change in the weather.

In winter, low temperatures, low humidity and strong, harsh winds deplete skin of its natural lipid layer, which keeps the skin from drying out.
The dry air from central heating also suck the moisture out of our skin.

In order to help your skin you need to :

-Use intensely hydrating products -use a moisturiser for dryer skin types or apply skinceuticals hydrating b5 or Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Skin Rehydration Serum underneath your moisturiser for added hydration

-Drink plenty of water

-Wear a sunscreen to protect your skin from the elements
Contrary to popular belief, wearing sunscreen in the winter is an important part of daily skin care.
In fact, you need to wear sunscreen more in the winter than in the warmer months of the year.
This is because the sun is closer to the earth during the winter and the rays are stronger.
If you have sensitive skin go for a physical one like Medik8 Physical Sunscreen SPF 30 or Jan Marini Physical Protectant SPF 45

-Make sure you Exfoliate regularly to help get rid of your dead skin cells.
By exfoliating it also helps with hydration.
Cells transitioning from below the skin’s surface to the top most layer bring with them essential lipids and moisture.
For a gentle exfoliate use skinceuticals retexturing activator once or twice a day after cleansing.

Hope that helps
