Are You Cleansing The Right Way?

CLEANSE

Follow these simple steps to achieve clean, healthy skin.........

Always Remove Make-up

It is very important to remove make-up before going to bed as it can potentially harm your skin.

The skin renews itself while you sleep, so if you don't remove your make-up you are preventing it from repairing itself.

Use a gentle make-up remover to remove make-up and any residing grime leftover from the day, including toxins and pollutants.

Double-cleanse at night

In the daytime your skin is exposed to toxins, pollutants and make-up, so it is essential to double-cleanse.

The first cleanse will remove dirt, make-up and sunscreen and the second cleanse will clean much deeper into the pores, removing any impurities and working to remove dead skin cells.

Ensure you are massaging the second cleanse thoroughly; ideally left on the skin for a few minutes before rinsing off.

Morning cleanse

You only need to cleanse once in the morning to remove any excess sebum and refresh your skin ready for the application of your daily serums and moisturisers.

Wash your skin too much increase the risk of it drying it out and causing sensitivity.

Get the temperature right

Use lukewarm water for rinsing - not too hot or too cold. Cold water doesn't effectively remove the daily dirt, and hot water may dry out and irritate your skin. Warm water helps to lift the dirt, but preserves your skin's natural hydrating oils.

Rinse thoroughly

Not rinsing properly may lead to residue build up which can cause breakouts, skin irritation and reduce the results of your treatment products that follow.

Dry with caution

Make sure to pat your skin dry gently and avoid rubbing your skin which can cause irritation.

Ideally, a mini face towel that can be used once or twice should be used to dry your face, or use facial tissues instead to avoid transferring bacteria.

Your skin is now ready for your serum, moisturiser & SPF with these simple steps.
