30th January, 2020 by Kate Daniel

Exuviance Probiotic Lysate Anti-Pollution Essence

Concentrated daily essence is formulated with Probiotic Lysate and proven Polyhydroxy Acid to help re-balance and strengthen all skin types for a more radiant, younger-looking complexion.

Powered by 10% concentration of Probiotic Lysate, from the bacteria found naturally in yogurt, to target the skin’s microbiome to re-balance and optimise skin health. In addition to strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier, a high-performing 8% level of Polyhydroxy Acid is known to deliver antioxidant benefits without irritation, helping to neutralise the visible ageing effects of environmental stressor’s including pollution and harmful metals in air and water. The lightly hydrating essence is formulated to help activate skin’s moisture level, preparing skin for the benefits of subsequent skincare products.

Key Ingredients:

  • 10% Probiotic Lysate helps gently rebalance and optimise a healthy skin appearance
  • 8% Polyhydroxy Acid diminishes the look of environmental aging and restores radiance
  • Hyaluronic Acid quenches dryness leaving skin lightly hydrated

Kate’s Review:

I love skincare and trying new products but I’ll admit I have never got on with toners or ever thought about trying an essence before. So many of you have been telling me how much you’ve loved the Exuviance Probiotic Lysate from our Dermacare Direct Winter Skincare Box and after our recent blog about microbiome, I had to try it!

For those of you that haven’t heard of microbiome, it is a community of living microganisms made up of commonly bacteria, but can also contain fungi, viruses, and  parasites. While it may sound disgusting, the microorganisms making up your microbiome actually help to protect the skin and keep the skin barrier functioning and your skin free from blemishes , inflammation & Eczema.

The texture is as I would expect for an essence, very light with an almost watery consistency that disappears shortly after applying. The smell is light, fresh and I do get a scent of cucumber from it!

The result, well as a sufferer of Rosacea, dry and sensitive skin my skin usually feels sensitised and compromised in this cold weather but the probiotic lysate has really helped strengthen my skin and reduce my sensitivity.

My skin has felt super smooth, radiant and plump which is why I love polyhydroxy acids. They are very hydrating and will gently exfoliate – ideal for anyone who doesn’t tolerate glycolic or other AHA’s/BHA’s!

In general my skin has just felt restored and rebalanced and has certainly made me change my mind about essences. Its been really freshing trying an essence and its certainly a step in my skincare regime I won’t be over looking again.

Whilst it has really help my dry, sensitive skin I feel it would also be ideal for anyone suffering with congestion or breakouts that can also be sensitive and dehydrated as its perfect for gently exfoliation, hydration and re balancing the skin.
