Medik8 Crystal Retinal – Product Review

29th August, 2018 by Andrea

Medik8 Crystal Retinal™10

For a little while now i have really been into retinol, i love that it gives your skin a huge boost when you think it is feeling tired, dull and missing a bit of oomph!

As soon as i heard that there was a new form of retinol on the market called retinal, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!

Medik8’s Crystal Retinal™10, is unlike other forms of retinol, it’s formulated with a supercharged derivative of Vitamin A, retinaldehyde.

This high-performance, retinaldehyde is an encapsulated active that only requires one conversion to retinoic acid, giving results comparable to clinical-grade and is up to 11x faster in the skin than classic forms of retinol.

Retinaldehyde is encased within a crystal-shaped molecular vehicle that is gradually broken down by the skin’s natural enzymes as the serum is massaged into the skin.

Medik8’s Lightweight and luxurious, Crystal Retinal™’ has a silk-like texture that sinks effortlessly into skin to nurture and restore the complexion, it  features a multi-weight hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, to hydrate the skin whilst strengthening the skin’s barrier to keep moisture locked in tight.

Medik8’s retinal 10 is great for dull, aging and acne skins as it diminishes P. acnesbacterica which is the bacteria responsible for breakouts.

I found that this was great at helping to target my main concern SPOTS!

i had previously been using a retinol from PCA which was fairly strong so i jumped straight to the Medik8 10 retinal as i felt my skin was prepared for this next step.

First i found that  my skin flaked a fair amount once i had started using the retinal however after about 2 weeks of using it i then noticed that the flaking had stopped and  little spots where appearing.

i put the spots down to the purging of the skin which again took about a week or so to completely calm down, now my skin looks very fresh and feels much more smoother and refined.

My skin is again glowing thanks to Medik8!
