Medik8 r-Retinoate - Product review

Medik8 r-Retinoate is a cream that can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines in your complexion which occur as a result of ageing and UV exposure.

The formula is eight times stronger than the effect that retinol provides your skin, but without the irritation that some consumers experience.

I am at the age where I probably need a retinol product in my skincare regime!

So I was keen to try this new breakthrough formula as I am not a huge fan of retinol due to the initial redness and dryness experienced by using it.

Additionally, I was drawn to the Medik8 r-Retinoate as it can be used both day & night and also because this is an advanced retinol formula.

This has to be my kind of retinol!

I love the bottle and it comes in a luxury box.

It is a creamy serum and it feels like a moisturiser - I actually use it just like a moisturiser.

Medik8 r-Retinoate can be used in several ways - as a target product by applying it to an area of concern (e.g. eye area) or applied all over the face. Alternatively it can be applied as a moisturiser like I do.

My regime:

AM - cleanse - vitamin C - pigment lightening – H.A. Intensifier - r-Retinoate - SPF

PM - cleanse - pigment lightening - H.A. Intensifier - r-Retinoate

I have been using it for a few weeks now and I really, really like it.

It fits perfectly into my regime. I use the H.A. Intensifier underneath to give my skin the hydration it needs.

It applies nicely into the skin and sinks in well and has no real smell.

After only a few weeks, my skin feels smoother & brighter, so let's see what happens after a few more weeks!

I have used several retinols before and have not really taken to them, but I really do like this one.

It could be a great product for the person who wants that one wonder product. It is especially suitable for men as It contains C E Tetra, retinol (5%) Hydr8 B5, and Glycerin.

It is great for sensitive skin types & also for rosacea as retinol can be effective for rosacea skin types, but most other retinols are just too irritating.

It may be a bit pricey for some, but you are getting plenty of active ingredients in just one bottle.

If you are interested in this award winning skincare product, please contact the salon for a consultation (Medik8 r-Retinoate can only be sold through our salon and cannot be purchased online).
