AHA - Glycolic Acid Formulations

Neostrata Ultra Smoothing Lotion - 200ml
This light lotion, formulated with AHAs, is ideal moisturising and exfoliating therapy for dry, rough skin on the hands, body and face.
Contains 8% AHA (glycolic acid) for those that prefer to use a lotion rather than a cream.

Ideal for first time Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) users with non-sensitive skin

Apply to the face, hands and/or body once daily or for two weeks and twice daily thereafter, as tolerated. Daily use of sunscreen  is recommended with use of this AHA product to minimize the risk of sun sensitivity/sunburn.
If you have been using NeoStrata Ultra Smoothing lotion for at least three months and have been tolerating it well, you may want to increase the strength of the Gylcolic Acid treatment to NeoStrata lotion Plus which contains 15% Glycolic Acid. If you can tolerate this higher strength product, it will be even more beneficial.

Precaution:
Products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA's) may cause initial flaking, tingling or irriation to the skin. For some this may be part of the normal resurfacing process.This generally improves as the skin ‘gets used’ to the treatment. AHA products may be introduced with less frequent use, and application can be increased as the skin acclimates. At first start by gradually introducing one AHA product at a time into your skincare regime.
Discontinue use if you have severe redness, itching, burning, rash, swelling or blistering.

It is recommended to apply a sunscreen daily when using products that contain Alpha Hydroxy acids (AHA's).
