What is the Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp?

The Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp is an alternative, targeted form of skin needling, boasting the benefits of the Titanium Dermaroller but with enhanced precision for specific, localised skin problems and hard to reach areas. The Titanium Dermastamp has a circular head comprising 38 titanium microneedles with an enhanced grip for greater control and accuracy and suitable for use on the delicate under-eye and peri-oral areas

The Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp with 0.2mm and 0.3mm microneedle lengths have been designed for personal, cosmetic use at home as part of the Medik8 skin care regimen.

Precision engineered titanium needles penetrate the epidermis of the skin and provide penetration pathways to enhance the absorption and consequently, the power of the topically applied skincare product. The extreme precision capabilities of the Titanium Dermastamp provide accuracy to ensure the targeted skin problem receives an intense dose of the active Medik8 formula. Specific scars and ageing concerns can be targeted to encourage rejuvenation of the skin site.

The Personal Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp models are also recommended for use in between clinical or medical Skin Needling treatments, usually set 2-3 months apart, and after the closure of the clinical/medical treatment programmes, to sustain skin regeneration results.

- Due to minimal level of needle insertion, the Personal Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp models are safe to use at home and are regarded as practically pain-free by the majority of users.
- The Personal Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp models are associated with very little downtime when used vigorously and with none if used as per instructions.

Piercing the upper layers of the skin with microneedles leads to increased blood flow in the skin and stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin. Enhanced penetration of topically applied Medik8 products will also assist in stimulating the production of these skin proteins. Each subsequent treatment gradually reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Directions:
1. Disinfect the Titanium Dermastamp by using Medik8 Sanitising Solution directly on the needles before every use and allow to dry.
2. Cleanse the area and ensure the skin is left clean and dry.
3.Hold the Dermastamp (like a pen) close to the needle head, providing greater control and accuracy of application. The free hand can be used to hold the surrounding skin taught.

Rest your elbow on a flat surface to avoid movement of the needles when in contact with your skin.
Hold the Dermastamp directly over the targeted wrinkle. Repeatedly press the needles into the skin 20-25 times ensuring the whole localised area receives repetitive needling.

IMPORTANT TIP: fully remove the Dermastamp from contact with the skin between each application. Do not rotate/ twist the Dermastamp whilst in contact with the skin.

4. After apply your preferred Medik8 Prevent and/or Correct product, following the product instructions.
5. Clean the Dermastamp by running under hot water and sanitise as before.
Allow to dry before replacing cap. 6.Apply Hydr8 SPF25 or a suitable sunscreen the following morning.

Suitable for all skin types and all skin colours.
Replace stamp after 3/6 months of use.

Notice: To build up skin tolerance to skin needling, allow 3 day intervals between treatments for a minimum of 2 weeks. As your skin becomes adjusted to needling, gradually increase the frequency of use. Do not use more than once a day. If used more than once a day the Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp may cause excessive inflammation and even cause damage.

What topicals should I use along with the Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller/Dermastamp?

Skin Needling will induce collagen synthesis on its own (Dry Skin Needling), but skin improvement is significantly enhanced by combining Skin Needling treatments with the topical application of vitamin A (Medik8 retinol serums) prior, during and post treatment. Vitamin C (Medik8 CE-Tetra and C-Tetra) is an essential co-factor to be used alongside vitamin A. Both vitamin A and C work synergistically to induce collagen synthesis and help regenerate the skin. Because treatment with the Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller/dermastamp can also enhance the skin’s absorption of the active ingredients from topical serums and creams, it is also highly recommended to use the roller /stamp with problem-targeted serums and creams by Medik8, such as White Balance for hyperpigmentation or Lipomelt Forte for cellulite. Always wear a sunblock during the day even when it is cloudy. To obtain and sustain the treatment results from acne scarring, surgical scars, pigmentation, stretch marks, and cellulite, it is recommended to have a course of deeper treatments done at a clinic with a trained professional as well a using a home kit.

Precautions:
- Following treatment, the skin will appear flushed. This should subside within a few hours and can be easily covered with makeup.
- Alternatively, only use the Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp at night. - Cease use if you develop a skin rash or irritation and resume treatment after skin feels comfortable again.
- Do not share your Medik8 Titanium Dermastamp with anyone else.
- Do not use broken skin or open wounds.
- Do not use if pregnant.
- Do not use if you are taking blood thinning medication or are a haemophiliac.
- Store out of reach of children.
- Not to be used by anyone under the age of 18.

Contraindications:
Do not use on the following skin conditions:
- Active acne outbreaks or active skin infections.
- Eczema, psoriasis and other chronic conditions.
- Rosacea and blood clotting problems.
- Actinic (solar) keratosis.
- Keloid or raised scars.
- Raised moles or warts.
