What is Micro needle Therapy?
Clinically proven, the Microneedle Skin Roller is an ideal solution for non-surgical and non-ablative treatment of various skin conditions, such as fine lines & wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scarring and hyperpigmentation.
Micro needle roller is a revolutionary device which has the amazing ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin without damaging it.
Treatment involves a roller with needles that range from short length (0.2mm, 0.3mm,and 0.5mm - if previously used a 0.2/0.3mm) for home use and longer length (1.0mm, 1,5mm, 2.0mm) for clinical use.
Roller is a barrel-like roller with 200 tiny micro needles that are thinner than your own hair! When the needles are rolled across the skin, you don’t feel anything but hundreds of microscopic “pin pricks” are created. This stimulation causes the skin underneath, to use your own collagen to fill and soften wrinkles and scars. It has similar results to Laser Treatment, Chemical Peels and Dermabrasion, but it is considerably less invasive,zero downtime and carries only a fraction of the cost.

Directions:
1. Sterilise the Medik8 roller with a sterilising solution and allow to dry before every use.
2. Cleanse face, neck, décolleté or body pat skin dry.Apply Medik8 Growth factor serum if required
3. Visually divide the skin into sections (forehead, left cheek, right cheek, nose, chin, left side of the neck etc.)
Hold the skin taught and with minimal pressure,using a constant, gentle rolling motion roll 10 times over each skin area.
(It leaves no damage to the skin & no pain during the procedure)

4. After apply your preferred Medik8 Prevent (C E tetra)and/or Correct product (Retinol 3TR/white balance), following the product instructions.
5. Clean roller with hot water and return to case, dry.
6.Apply Hydr8 SPF25 or a suitable sunscreen the following morning.
Roller should be used at night. Use 2 – 7 times per week, depending on skin tolerance.To build up skin tolerance to Skin Needling, allow 3 day intervals between treatments for a minimum of 2 weeks. Gradually increase frequency of use, as your skin becomes adjusted to needling. Do not use more than once a day.
Suitable for all skin types and all skin colours.
It can be used on thin skin, and on all areas of the face, neck and body
Use one roller per person.
Replace roller after 3/6 months of use.

What topicals should I use along with the Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller?

Skin Needling will induce collagen synthesis on its own (Dry Skin Needling), but skin improvement is significantly enhanced by combining Skin Needling treatments with the topical application of vitamin A (Medik8 retinol serums) and or Medik8 Growth Factor serum prior, during and post treatment. Vitamin C (Medik8 CE-Tetra and C-Tetra) is an essential co-factor to be used alongside vitamin A. Both vitamin A and C work synergistically to induce collagen synthesis and help regenerate the skin. Because treatment with the Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller can also enhance the skin’s absorption of the active ingredients from topical serums and creams, it is also highly recommended to use the roller with problem-targeted serums and creams by Medik8, such as White Balance for hyperpigmentation or Lipomelt Forte for cellulite.
Always wear a sunblock during the day even when it is cloudy.
To obtain and sustain the treatment results from acne scarring, surgical scars, pigmentation, stretch marks, and cellulite, it is recommended to have a course of deeper treatments done at a clinic with a trained professional as well a using a home kit.
